About Ken
United States Army Veteran, born in Long Beach California, raised in Oklahoma. Grew up watching my dad race dirt bikes then he raced dirt track mini modifieds. I developed a love for motorcycles and race cars. As I grew up I spent most of my time riding dirt bikes and other off road vehicles but my dream was to race dirt track. It wasn't until after my dad had passed away that I finally got an opportunity to chase my dreams and purchased my first factory stock dirt track car. I will admit that I thought that I knew how to drive on dirt but I was sadly mistaken lol. The first 2 years of racing was a big learning experience for me. I learned what and what not to do, where to spend money and what not to waste money on. After my second race season I purchased another factory stock and decided that it was time to get serious about racing and chase points to see if I could win a championship. I did everything I could to make every event and finish every race however I had a few catastrophic engine failures and a couple of wrecks that kept me from finishing every event. Even with the bad luck I was able to clench 2nd place in the points for the season and was extremely happy with it. The following year I moved up to street stock and made a few changes to my car. I wasn't expecting to do as well as I did but I had one finish outside of the top 5 and one dnf landing me 3rd in points for the season. Then I decided to go back to factory stock and bought another car and built it to be up front every night, however due to poor quality of post covid parts the engine only lasted 3 nights before the camshaft started to flake apart destroying the engine. I was devastated after sinking about 20k into a completely new ride. Which brings me to my newest venture, a GRT dirt late model that I was fortunate enough to be able to get and help a friend in need at the same time. It has been a long road getting this car ready to go to the track because life happens and finances are extremely tight but after 2 years I am finally racing again.
